Our team gathers information to better understand the individual's needs and circumstances.

Clinical / Program Review
The referral is reviewed to determine whether the individual's needs are consistent with Aeterna Health's approved services and level of care.

Benefits & Funding Coordination
When applicable, the team verifies benefits, authorization and other financial arrangements.

Admission Planning
If accepted, the team coordinates the admission date, medications, records, transportation arrangements when applicable and other transition needs.

Begin Recovery
The resident arrives, meets the team, becomes familiar with the environment and begins individualized assessment and treatment planning.
Is Aeterna Health Right for You?
Aeterna Health provides residential treatment for adults experiencing substance use disorders who meet the program's admission criteria and approved level of care.
Individuals may benefit from residential treatment when they require a structured therapeutic environment and more intensive support than can appropriately be provided through a less intensive setting.
The admissions team evaluates each referral individually to determine whether Aeterna Health can safely and appropriately meet the person's needs.
Making Treatment Accessible
Aeterna Health believes financial questions should not prevent someone from asking for help.
Our admissions team can help prospective residents and referral partners understand available payment and coverage options.

Recovery Can Include Medication
Aeterna Health recognizes that recovery is individualized.
When clinically appropriate and within the program's approved scope, we support access to evidence-based medications used in the treatment of substance use disorders and coordinate with appropriate healthcare providers.
